ST. LOUIS — A couple is suing The Washington University, Muhammad Al-Lozi MD and Ahmed Bamaga MD, healthcare providers, citing alleged negligence.
Robert Thoele and Barbara Thoele filed a complaint on Dec. 14 in the St. Louis 22nd Judicial Circuit Court against the defendants alleging that they breached their duties to exercise the highest degree of skill and learning ordinarily used by members of the medical profession.
According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that Robert Thoele suffered nerve damage that caused severe discomfort, pain, loss of sensation and mental anguish. The plaintiffs holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly negligently ordered an unnecessary nerve biopsy and failed to utilize other, less invasive procedures.
The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek judgment against the defendants in an amount in excess of $25,000, plus costs of this action, and any further relief that the court may deem just and proper.
