St. Louis motorist accused of negligence in Hampton Avenue crash

Car accident 34

ST. LOUIS — A motor vehicle passenger is suing a motorist, citing alleged negligence.

Desiree Graham filed a complaint on Dec. 13 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Stacey Rolof of St. Louis alleging that the motorist failed to exercise reasonable care in operating a motor vehicle.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Aug. 11, 2016, she was a passenger in a 1998 Dodge Durango traveling southbound on Hampton Avenue when the defendant, who was coming from the opposite direction, carelessly attempted to make a left turn and collided with the Durango. She allegedly sustained injuries to her neck, head and back, and incurred medical expenses in excess of $20,000 and loss wages of more than $5,000.

The plaintiff holds Rolof responsible because she allegedly failed to yield the right of way and failed to maintain proper lookout.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury; and seeks damages of not less than $25,000, plus costs of court, and any further relief as the court deems just and proper. She is represented by Aaron M. Vogel of Schultz and Myers LLC in St. Louis.
