ST. LOUIS — A property owner is suing the owner of a vehicle and two people who she loaned the car to citing alleged intentional infliction of emotional distress.

Lonnie Snelling filed a complaint on Dec. 8 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Angela D. Conley, and John and Jane Does alleging that the defendants failed to exercise due care as they posed a threat to the safety and property interest of the public.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Dec. 12, 2012 Conley gave permission to the Does to use her vehicle as they pleased. Snelling claims the Does drove to his property and climbed to the roof with the intent to vandalize his property. As a result, Snelling claims he suffered property damages and emotional distress.

The plaintiff holds Conley responsible because she allegedly failed to place a restriction on where the vehicle could and would be driven by the Does, and the use during the time of possession and under their control.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury; and seeks judgment for actual damages in excess of $30,000, consequential damages in excess of $30,000, punitive damages, costs and fees expended.
