Customer sues BP Gas station owner for negligence

ST. LOUIS — A customer is suing Ammar Associates PC, a BP Gas station owner, citing alleged negligence.

Amanda Dennis filed a complaint on Dec. 15 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Ammar Associates PC alleging that the BP Gas station owner breached its duty to maintain its premises in a reasonable safe condition.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on May 13 she was a customer at a BP Gas station located at 3182 S. Grand in St. Louis when she slipped and fell in an unlit stairwell. She suffered injuries to her right arm, right wrist and right side of her body that resulted in loss of daily capabilities and necessary medical expenses. The plaintiff holds Ammar Associates PC responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to provide adequate warning in the property and failed to warn customers of the hazard.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages of not less than $25,000, costs of this action, and all further relief as the court may deem just and proper in the circumstances. She is represented by Jason A. Carpenter of Growe Eisen Karlen Eilerts in Clayton.
