Company alleges it suffered $90,000 in damages for truck lost in fire at Broadway Ford Truck Sales

ST. LOUIS – A Potosi company alleges the negligence of a St. Louis business caused the destruction of its vehicle in a fire.

Purcell Tire & Rubber Co. filed a complaint on May 16 in the St. Louis 22nd Judicial Circuit Court against Broadway Ford Truck Sales Inc. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, on Sept. 12, 2017, the plaintiff delivered and entrusted its 2008 Class 7 Sterling Truck Acterra 4x2 Conventional Mercedes-Benz to defendant for repair. The suit states the truck was destroyed by a fire at the premises the same day.

The plaintiff alleges it was damaged in the amount of $90,000 for the loss of the truck and an additional $7,000 for loss of its use.

The plaintiff seeks damages in an amount of no less than $97,000, plus costs and expenses expended for this action. It is represented by Maurice B. Graham of Gray, Ritter & Graham PC in St. Louis.
