ST. LOUIS – A man alleges he incurred medical expenses of more than $10,000 after he was assaulted at a St. Louis nightclub.

Timothy Dixson filed a complaint on Aug. 27 in the St. Louis 22nd Judicial Circuit Court against The Marquee LLC and 1911 Locust LLC alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Sept. 4, 2017, he was at the defendants' Marquee nightclub when several men brutally assaulted him. He alleges the men were strangers to him and that he did nothing to provoke them.

He alleges he was severely beaten and suffered serious, permanent physical and psychological injuries that required invasive medical treatment at a cost of more than $10,000.

The plaintiff holds The Marquee LLC and 1911 Locust LLC responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to provide adequately trained security guards and failed to adequately warn invitees of the known risk of violent criminal activity against them.

The plaintiff seeks damages of no less than $25,000, plus interest and costs. He is represented by Joseph M. Taylor of Taylor & Taylor PC in St. Louis.
